With 87-octane at $3.79 here, maybe patching it up and slipping an RV cam in it would make better economic sense....NAAAAAHHHHH !

I'm thinking aftermarket rods w/capscrew-type rod bolts would clear the cam without grinding for clearance as on factory rods....will probably use 5.7 rods from Speedway, they have an affordable 406 claimer kit for non-sprayed motors. Curious as to how much clearance grinding would be needed on block, if any.
