Ed Bradley NASCRAP Finally Comes Out of The Dark Ages With EFI

I can't believe NASCRAP finally gave up carburetors moving into modern day technology using Electronic Fuel Injection. Terms like ECU's, fuel maps, fuel cells, electric fuel pumps, dual fyel pumps, return lines, COP's and electronic ignition will have their heads spinning. At least they brought in real racing technician's from McLaren to help them out.

Why do people spin their tires in the water box?  Is this a monkey see-monkey do kind of thing?  Is there some benefit to this other then slinging water into the wheel wells?

jon wtf anderson atv sand drag race with son

my son & i went atv sand drag racing saturday. they had 4 kids show up . only one kid was faster than justin , in practice justin would almost beat him. so i decided to pump up the air pressure to max to give him more mph . then i adjusted the carb &  removed the air box cover, with that done in practice he beat that faster bike so it worked ! now it was time to race & i could see him getting nervous his little hands shaking (not scared) from adrenaline. i told him now ya know how… Continue

m. tomas Hot headed Nova !

Any suggestions as to why the right bank seems to be so much hotter than the left bank ? Melts plug wire separators and floorpan (bare) is hot enough to scorch rubber floormat. Valves seem properly adjusted, no restriction in header or exhaust, carb is slightly rich, no hot-cranking issues (interesting). I'm running out of ideas here ! Thanks for the feedback !

Ed Bradley Finally, Ready To Hit The Track This Year

Finally had time to complete 3 issues Tech didn't like at the track. Battery kill switch was rewired to correctly work, clutch uplock switch was enabled to work with the auto tranny and extended lugs were installed for the new Bogart Rims and M&H Slicks. Also installed a new MSD programable shift light.



Other home base projects, thanks to the harsh New England winter and Hurricane Irene took priority and kept us off the track. This will be our first time… Continue

m. tomas HELP !!! Need parts !!!

CALLING ALL XTREMERS !!! Please contact me here if you have parts to convert to a manual transmission for sale. Vehicle is a 1974 Chevy Nova w/small-block. Parts from 1973 would also work. Need the whole works...Pedals,crossbar, linkage,Z-bar,frame bracket,ball stud,adjustment rod,and bellhousing. A decent 4-speed shifter would be nice also ! Had a shed full of this stuff 5 years ago, lost in a NASTY split-up ! (WAAAAAH !) Rockingham, N.C. -- Bert Jackson (September 9, 2011) - Bert Jackson, 51, was fatally injured driving an Extreme Pro Stock 2007 Pontiac GTO during the third qualifying session of the American Drag Racing League's (ADRL) Dragstock VIII at Rockingham Dragway on Friday evening.
